Description:

This is a car shuttle so that one can hike the entire Ridgeline trail from Blanton to Spring. The wildflowers should be abundant. Friday at 4:00pm I have the car shuttle organized for 5 people. Jorry and I will leave cars at Spring at 8:30. John Jacobsen will be drive all five of us from Amazon to Blanton.

Trip Report

The reason to lead this hike early in April is the display of trilliums, fawn lilies, hounds tongue and calypso orchids. High winds the previous day left the trail blanketed with branches. It was hard for Carla and me not to use our poles to flick the branches off the trail. We soon had to abandon our need to tidy up and catch up with the other hikers. We were pleased to see that two major root wad holes had been repaired with rocks and gravel by Eugene Parks and Open Space staff. Thanks to John Jacobsen who facilitated the car shuttle by dropping us off at the Blanton Trailhead to begin our walk back to the Spring Trailhead and our cars.
