Description:

This will be an easy path all on the hard surfaces of the river bank walk/bike paths. We’ll head east going under the Ferry Street Bridge. Our route then takes us through the ongoing developments on the south bank of the river. The Autzen footbridge gets us to the north bank and our return path. The trip is over when we return to our starting point but some might want continue along the river or try some trails at Skinner Butte

Trip Report

We were all prepared for rain, but the rain took a break as we enjoyed a leisurely walk along the river bank. Joanna took a photo of us at the “Eugene Group” by Hugh Townley and since none of us knew anything about it, a quick search on the internet brought up details about it. Our walk was a short loop, and back at the start, three members accompanied Steve Adey on his Extended River Walk. <br />

There are several sites with info about the sculpture; searching for Townley Eugene Group will give you good results.
