Description:

Meet at the LTD downtown station near lobby area. Update your Honored Bus Pass to the new one that can be scanned or apply for a new one. It doesn’t take long but come a bit earlier.

I plan to board EmX around 9:40 to Springfield station where we can begin our walk back, around 10:00. We will pass through Island Park, to the River Path, Knickerbocker Bridge, The Frohnmayer Bike Bridge to the Peter DeFaxio Pedestrian Bridge and to City Center. The route could vary but perhaps 1 ½ hour to two hours depending on stops. Optional lunch.

Trip Report

With updated LTD Touch Pass esand Honored Guest Passes, we caught 9:39 EMX to the Springfield Station to begin our walk through Island Park. It soon felt like a balmy spring day—a record high of 60 degrees— as we followed the Canoe Canal to Alton Baker Park. Stops included the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, heron watching, Autzen Stadium Duck Shop and 5th Street Market (lunch). What a pleasant amiable amble!
