Rosary Lakes “Love A Lake”

Description:

This is a Stewardship "Love A Lake" hike. Starting at Willamette Pass we follow the PCT to Lower, Middle and Upper Rosary Lakes. Our task will be to pick up trash around campsites and along the shoreline. Illegal fire pits will be removed and ash removed from others. We begin by hiking 3.5 miles to Upper Rosary for lunch. On our return trip we will take care of cleaning the area.

Trip Report

A beautiful day at Rosary Lakes with a nice breeze and not too many mosquitoes. We cleaned most of the firepits and picked up what garbage we could find along the lakes shores and around campsites. Joan was especially good at spotting small bits of paper, wrappers and foil. The lakes green waters against the blue sky made the stewardship hike a worthwhile experience for everyone. Its always a good feeling that you have contributed to the beauty of a Cascade Lake by keeping them clean and pristine for the people that will experience the wonders of nature in such a scenic spot in the summer and fall months ahead.
