Description:
Jim Northrop who lived in Salem for 24 years will be our guide for our walk. There will be a guided tour of the Capitol Dome and Building. We will tour Riverfront Park, Union Street Railroad Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge, the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge with a walk (depending on weather, sculptures, and gardens on the way to Willamette University, the Hallie Ford Art Museum (free). Depending on time: Deepwood Museum & Gardens, the Bush Barn Art Center, the Salem Convention Center, and the historic Ladd and Bush Bank. Be prepared to be on your feet most of the exploration. Jim has a special place for lunch (your cost). We should be back in Eugene by 5:30 if all goes well.
