Description:

We leave Eugene and drive up Hwy 58 to Salt Creek Snow park. This is a loop that travels along Salt Creek Canyon with many view points. The trail turns and follows up up Berry Creek Canyon leading to a large waterfall before turning back toward the cars.

Trip Report

Just a great day with a good group. I did not expect sun and blue skies. Lots of snow for this time of year. Driving was not a problem. Packed snow, well graveled best of all no chains required. We did pass a truck that managed to get off track but he was gone by the time we returned. Everyone enjoyed the views of deep canyons, water falls and snow draped trees. We included checking out Salt Creek Falls. It was in full flow with ice hanging on the edges. This was the last stop before returning to the cars and heading home.
