Trip Report

"Snow was falling, so much like stars filling the dark trees that one could easily imagine its reason for being was nothing more than prettiness". Mary Oliver. Thank you Marsha Barr for the above, as the snow gods once again blessed the Shelter Cove Extended Trip with lots of fresh white fluff for great skiing and snowshoeing. An incredible base, blue skies and lots of sunshine awaited 15 Obsidians for three glorious days at Shelter Cove on the West Side of Odell Lake. Accommodations on the 2nd floor of the lodge gave everyone a picture perfect view of the lake. Gourmet dinners, warm gas fire stoves and clean, well equipped units made for delightful times after the day's winter playground. Night temps got into the single digits, but we were warm and cozy. Thanks to all who came for your enthusiasm.
