Description:

We will meet in the parking lot on Q Street and Pioneer Pkwy in Springfield in between Sheri's and Jack in the Box. In addition to the car pooling cost - bring $1 to donate to the parking fee of $5 per car. Trip may be adjusted for stormy weather.

Trip Report

We had 10 wonderful participants for a great day hiking. It rained on the drive to Silver Falls. When we arrived the rain went away and we had perfect mid 60's weather for the hike. We saw all 10 waterfalls starting with South Falls. We stopped for lunch at North Falls. About half of the participants had never hiked the Silver Falls Trail and were amazed at walking behind waterfalls. Just a note for hiking when the trail is wet - we went slow on the many slippery sections (rocks, stairs and behind the falls).
