Skinner Butte Trails

Description:

There are several trails on the Butte which can be combined in a variety of routes. Based on the group preferences, the weather, etc. our exact path will be determined the day of the the hike. Some may want a good workout on the steps above the columns-- other my want to take a more gradual trail and meet the "steppers" on the top. Regardless, everyone will find something to their liking in this hike.

Trip Report

Morning mist melted into brilliant sunshine and vivid fall colors. We walked over wet leaves to the west stairway<br />
and up to the east summit. Then we took an outside loop of about 1/4 mike back to the east summit for a total <br />
of about 2.5 miles and approximately 300 ft. elevation gain.<br />
