Description:

Please join thousands of volunteers on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10AM - 1PM for SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup – part of International Coastal Cleanup.
Obsidians and friends of Wandertrail Tours will participate in cleaning area around Berry Creek, 8 miles north of Florence.
Trash bags and gloves will be provided to you on the site.

After the cleanup, please join us for Ice-cream beach party sponsored by Wandertrail Tours! ("while supplies last")
On the way back, some of us will stop for a lunch in Florence. Please join us.

Trip Report

We wore lucky again, weather was great!
Our energetic group spread over a big area along the Berry Creek and further west on the beach. Supported by light pleasant Southern winds we mingled with sand dunes and vigorous coastal vegetation.
All trash was carried to the parking lot where we weighted 244 lbs. of mixed debris plus 2 rimmed tires. After the cleanup, leader hosted Ice-cream parking lot party for all.
