Trip Report

The forecast predicted chilly temperatures (LOW 40's) and rain showers--exactly what we experienced! Because of the weather, not very many Oregonians turned out for the spring SOLVE beach cleanup. Our little group of Obsidians cleaned up two "campsites" at the South Jetty, as well as the entire stretch of sand along the jetty road from the parking area to the beach. Overall, a successful endeavor!! Afterwards Vern treated us to cookies & hot drinks in his RV. Four of us stopped for lunch in Florence before heading back to Eugene.
