Trip Report

It was a glorious last day of summer, not a cloud appeared all day! We were on the trail at 9 a.m., made Tear Drop lake for lunch at 12:30, then the summit just after 2 p.m. It was calm and beautiful and we lounged on top for 75 minutes. Mt. Rainier was faintly visible. I think this was my 19th time up this mountain - I could do this blind-folded, walking backwards at night! Hikers were non-Obsidians Paul Lee, Jen Steele and Erin Hewitt and Obsidian members Mike & Patti McNutt, Shannon Harty, Ben Muir, Madeline Blumm and Buzz Blumm (leader).
