Trip Report

For what is hopefully our last outing of 2025, we met up with Joe and Kelsey from the City in Hendricks Park to plant woody plants (trees and shrubs) in an area of the forest they\'re rehabilitating from being overgrown by blackberries and ivy. We broke into small tasks related work groups with most of our group working on planting over 130 plants in our short time. Others filled buckets with mulch and shuttled plants to the work area in a garden cart. Still others carried plants and the mulch to the plantings. Oliver found an actual salamander, not a newt, under a log and shared it with the group. <br />

Special thanks go to Janet for bringing delicious zucchini bread and Joe for bringing \"I dig EUG parks\" swag items.
