Description:

We will work to add drainage features (dips) to the trail to divert water that is running down and eroding the trail. We will also clear a drainage.

Meet at the Dillard East Trailhead, the paved (small) parking lot on Dillard Road at the South end of Dillard-Skyline Park (Baldy).

Trip Report

For this outing we met City staff Joe and Marlon at the Dillard East parking lot and hike across the road and basically started working on the Dillard Connector Trail. We put in 4 new rolling drain dips, cleared the ditch and culvert and outflow, cleared 2 grade reversals, uncovered the cobble armored corner (it was covered by a surprising amount of debris for being in an open area), and reestablished the out-slope on about 40 feet of the trail. <br />

We were very impressed by Sony who ran 19 miles to reach us and volunteer with us today.<br />
