Trip Report

We worked independently this outing to cut back woody brush from the Tie Trail\'s sides. We struggled with the loppers I brought from the City\'s tool shed as the jaws were loose making effective cuts extremely difficult. We hiked/worked about 3 tenths of a mile before turning around and hiking out. We focused on making proper pruning cuts as we cut back Hazelnut, Vine Maple, and Bigleaf Maple along the trail. We left the big Vine Maple overhanging the trail alone, although I\'m concerned that it is getting too low to keep. <br />

Special thanks go to Clara for doing a wonderful job cleaning the trailhead stairs and Janet for bringing delicious snacks.
