Trip Report

Our group of undauntable volunteers met up on a wet and stormy morning at the main Spencer Butte parking lot to hike up the Main Trail and clear drainage ditches and culverts. We also cleared some of the rolling drain dips that weren't draining water as well as they should. Our group of volunteers carried terra hoes, garden hoes, and shovels up the Main Trail clearing out drainage ditches and culverts along the way. We also cleared the 1 & 1/3 of the ditches along the raised turnpike of the Tie Trail. One of the highlights of the trip was spotting and moving a red racer out of one of the uppermost ditches on the Tie Trail.
