Description:

This is our weekly aerobic hike starting at Martin Street Trailhead up to Spencer Butte. We start promptly so come a few minutes early to check in. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather. It is a steady pace varying from moderate to fast. Registered guests are welcome. Please call the leader if any questions.

To get to the trailhead: Take West Amazon to Martin Street. Turn left. Drive past Kinney Park and park on Martin Street at the Kiosk sign board across from Canyon Drive Street sign with hiker symbol. One can take LTD Bus #28 to Martin Street.

Trip Report

A little of everything on this hike: cold rain at the beginning, switched to snow on the Tie Trail, then to rain as the Sun melted the falling snow. There were a couple of inches of snow on top, two snowmen, and a lot of fog. On the trip down, sunlight illuminated the trees with a deep verdant green.
