Check for updates! The Amazon Headwaters Trail is closed during the week for trail improvements but will be open on week ends if trail conditions are safe. It will be interesting to see the progress of the construction. Pace is moderate and/or almost moderate-- possibly we would have two groups. Watch for updates about departure time. If you have time, find out about the construction of retaining walls.

Trip Report

For a change we took the Erin Noble Trail at the end of Martin Street to reach the Amazon Headwaters Trail that is now closed on weekdays for trail repair. It was interesting to see the preparation work for widening the trail. On top of the Butte I gave Paul "a mission impossible if he should choose accept it. " He said "Yes" and had no trouble hiking down a steep slope to retrieve a plastic bottle and other litter. Thanks! We saw that two benches had been painted to cover up graffiti. The early 7:30 start was appreciated as everyone headed down at their speed to get started on their Saturday errands.
