Description:

For this month's outing, we will continue to work to improve the Main Spencer Butte Trail. People can work to clean the trailhead, do rock work armoring a switchback, or other general trail maintenance.

Meet at the main Willamette Street Trailhead parking lot, the paved on Willamette.

Trip Report

For this month's outing our group worked with Dev to armor, add rocks to, switchbacks near the Junction Meadow on the Main Trail in Spencer Butte Park.

We broke into 2 groups, each group working on a separate switchback corner. We "planted" rocks, planted sword ferns, and added sticks and leaves to dissuade people from short-cutting the switchbacks.

Others from our group also cleaned the trailhead, cleared drainage, and continued on to sweep the summit steps.
