CHECK HERE PERIODICALLY TO SEE IF THE HIKE HAS BEEN CANCELLED.***Nice hike into Three Sisters Wilderness that climbs gradually through forest and then climbs steeply and briefly to Substitute Point. The Point itself is about 6400’ with great views of The Sisters, The Husband, and from Jefferson to Diamond Peak. The old lookout area will hold 10 comfortably, and some may choose not to go all the way up, although it passes my test for safety. Hike is limited to 10 people because of relatively small flat area on top. The hike is moderate, and I plan two hours to get into the Point (about 5.5 miles) plenty of time on top and the same time back out. We should be back in Springfield by mid-afternoon.
