Get ready for summer. Join us on April 10 for a Summer Trips Rally. We’ll have pizza, snacks, and beverages. The emphasis on this year’s kickoff event is "where do you want to go?". The Committee is promoting outings based on themes, such as waterfalls, overnight car camping, wild flowers, big hikes (both distance and elevation), geology, and exploring lesser known wilderness areas. After some food and a short session about policy and procedures, we’ll divide in to groups to look at trail books & maps centered around the themes mentioned and others. Visit as many groups as you like. Our goal is to find out what people really would be interested in doing and start planning to make it happen! This is not just for leaders (although we’d sure like to have people step up to make trips happen). Come and enjoy this social event and get enthused about the coming season.
If you’re a new leader, or think you might become one, show up at 5:30. Some instruction about how to get started will be available and we can answer questions.
