Trip Report

There we were, walking barefoot on the beach with a gentle breeze to our backs, beside crashing surf as the tide came in. We waded across Tahkenitch estuary and had lunch by the beach terrace as the marine layer melted away into a hazy sunshine. On the return loop through coastal forest, there were hikers singing to the birds and birds singing back. We made three stops on the way back to take a closer look at the creek. What a warm and relaxing day at the Oregon coast.
