Description:

Tea at Lovejoy’s. We will leave Shopko at 8:00 am, travel to Philomath and west to Newport, then south to Florence with a coffee stop on the way. Lovejoy’s will serve us a light tea. The light tea features one tea sandwich (4 crust less triangles). English scone with preserves and Double Devon cream, a petite dessert and, of course, tea. To accommodate our numbers, we will split into two groups, one served at 11:30 and one at 12:30. When not at your tea time, enjoy the sights and sounds of Old Town Florence- museum, shops, (antiquing?) and the view of the estuary. At 2:00, the bus will load and we will go south to Reedsport, then east, stopping at Dean’s Creek Elk viewing station. We will also stop at Elkton to check out the progress on Ft. Umpqua. At the same site is the Butterfly Pavilion and a community library. Home by 5 pm. Limit for the trip is 30. Please dress for the weather.
