Thanksgiving Day Robust Ramble

Description:

This robust ramble through the neighborhoods will take us up to the Ridgeline Trailhead on 52nd and Willamette St. After a short uphill hike, we will veer off onto the Maintenance spur trail to Owl Rd., where Matt and an Obsidian crew recently did some trail work. We will continue down and wend our way through the woods until we reach Martin St. and then walk back to Amazon Park via the bark path.

Trip Report

Seven of us walked at a very robust pace to get warm because it was cold and foggy at the beginning. When we reached the Ridgeline Trailhead on 52nd and Willamette, the sun was shining brightly. Walking through the woods we were treated to beautiful displays of sunlight streaming in through the trees. We encountered several rafters (!) of wild turkeys on our ramble. A lovely time was had by all.
