Trip Report

Obsidians who attended the traditional dinner were pleased to see President Joe Lowry in charge of the kitchen. When diners arrived he had the fireplace glowing, two TV sets showing holiday parades, neatly arranged tables with white tablecloths (plus bright berries and candles for decoration), hot coffee ready, hot foods keeping hot and he was peeling fresh potatoes to be mashed later. Paula Vehrs cooked the turkey and twenty-seven Obsidians thought it was the best ever - along with all the other traditional foods. Vice-President Betty Legris stood by to help where needed.

After finishing the last of the delicious pumpkin pie, everyone enjoyed leisurely visiting at the tables. Marriner Orum made an announcement concerning the Hardesty Mt. Wilderness and urged members to write letters. Joe announced the Annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 18. TV football was available for those who wished to stay.
