Trip Report

A bountiful Thanksgiving dinner at the Lodge was enjoyed by a thankful band of Obsidians and friends on the afternoon of Thursday, November 28th. The group would have been larger than the thirty in attendance had there not been a dozen cancellations caused by icy road conditions. However, those who made it up to the Lodge found a blazing fire started early that morning by Jack Cole, festive tables beautifully decorated by Vera Woolley, traditional turkey and trimmings and a variety of dishes provided by our members. Ted Briles offered the blessing and Joe Lowry transported his TV for the benefit of football fans. Turkeys were roasted by Paula Vehrs and Dallas Cole. Thanks for setting up and hospitality service go to Tom and Helene Johnston, Mary Bridgeman, Alys Riley, Joan Keigher, Suzanne Steussy and Judith Eagle. - Dallas Cole
