Description:

We will be meeting at the Albertsons parking lot on Friday the 29th at 6pm to car pool up to Santiam pass to car camp at the trail head. Leaving the parking lot on Saturday morning at 3:30 am we will follow the PCT to the base of Three Fingered Jack to the climbers trail and begin the ascent to the top.
If you are choosing to drive be sure to have a Northwest Forest Pass.

Helmets, climbing harness, 2 prusik loops, 2 locking carabiners, gloves, atc, day pack with enough water to last all day in heat (3 litters minimum), Wind shell with warm layers, sunscreen. (Ten essentials works great) Be sure to leave room for group gear.

Trip Report

Well we made it to the top this year. The weather was about as perfect as you could ask for. Light wind, sun was out, birds were singing and people were holding on with white knuckles as they made their way across the crawl. With Danni as my assistant lead we had Hayden Banks and his dad Larry. Chris Melton, and Elise (Lili) Weldon which made for a great team of people to climb such a great mountain at the end of July. As far as climbs go everything went really smooth with no major hickups this year. Now we get to wait until next year and do it again with a new set of climbers. Now on to snow season till next year.
