Description:

Standard route from the Pacific Crest trailhead off of Hwy 126.
Leader will contact the group the week leading up to the climb to discuss carpool details.
The climb consists of about 4 miles on the PCT, a scramble up the ridgeline and a bit of low 5th class and a 5.6ish pitch to the false summit. We will likely be roping up for anything 5th class. Snow shoes may be needed, we'll see how things look as we get closer. Contact the leader with questions.

Trip Report

We started out knowing that we'd hit some snow on the way up, but didn't realize it would be so early on the PCT. So instead of the typical PCT and gaining the ridge from the west, we hit the ridge further south and enjoyed the snowy approach and seeing the route from a little different angle. After the ridge, the rest of the climb was mostly snow free and we had a great summit enjoying the calm and clear weather. Great group!
