Trip Report

Our two groups of climbers met on the south ridge of Three Fingered Jack at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26. We made the summit by 1:00, after waiting for a party of 9 friendly Mazamas to descend. A member of our group, Terry, is a Mazama and a Chemeketan, and we all appreciated his skill and assistance. This was the first time up Jack for Diane, Rich and Jan, the first time in 10 years for Jane, and my first time leading it in 5 years. We all agreed that Three Fingered Jack is a spectacular mountain. Climbing were Jan and Rich Anselmo, Diane Frank, Jane Hackett, Terry Lowells, and George Jobanek, leader.
