Description:

On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will move across USA beginning in Oregon, crossing 12 states to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina. We will drive north to the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge to join thousands of people who want to see Total Eclipse 2017. When the eclipse first touches Oregon, the Moon's shadow will be racing at approximately 3,400 miles per hour! When the Moon's shadow leaves Oregon, it will have slowed down to about 2,900 miles per hour because it will be higher in the sky. The width of the eclipse path in the Willamette Valley will be about 87 miles. After lunch in Albany we will drive home. First total solar eclipse to cross the U.S. since 1979 will last under 2 minutes.
See you…. in the shadow!
