Trestle Creek Falls Loop

Description:

This is a loop trail east of Cottage Grove with a couple of very nice waterfalls, one of which is 90 feet high. The trail is steep in places with a bit of loose footing in one place on the way down. The trail is rocky and uneven near the waterfall. We will stop for a snack break at one of the waterfalls. We will meet at the Cottage Grove Walmart parking lot, the less-used southeast corner, close to Row River Road, North of Thomas Lane.

Trip Report

We had great weather for this hike, and the waterfalls were in great form today. The volunteer trail maintenance crew have obviously been through here and are much appreciated. The trail was clear of obstructing deadfall, and a steep spot has been graveled.
