Description:

This is the 11th annual Turkey Trimming hike; get some exercise before ingesting a lot of calories! This year's route: from Martin St., stay on West Amazon to Owl St. to the Ridgeline Trail. Continue the loop by returning through the neighborhoods, including seeing the new water towers. There are some short, but steep huffy-puffy hills. When you sign up for Obsidian trips, you're making a commitment to show up unless there is an emergency. If you're not sure about making that commitment, please don't sign up!

Trip Report

Fifteen hikers showed up to tackle huffy puffy hills on a lovely, dry morning hike. The hike started on a positive note with yummy chocolates supplied by our leader. Next, we spent a little time sharing things we are grateful for before heading into the south hills. We made a 4.5 mile clockwise loop up west Amazon and Owl to the Ridgeline trail and then meandered through neighborhoods, including taking a short detour to see EWEB’s new water towers, which are massive. The hike ended where we started on Martin Street.
