Description:

The UO has a long and distinguished scholarly history ...it has also seen several scamps throughout the years. Our walk will focus on the lighter side of academics including student life over the decades, campus legends, and famous pranks. Did you know the first UO mascot was a goat that wore a green sweater? Going to a saloon was grounds for a student being kicked out. That an affair helped to create a schism between the UO and OSU. And that the famous "O" on Skinner Butte has been painted multiple times, but not with brushes. The walk begins and ends at Espresso Roma (825 E 13th Ave, Eugene, next to the Duck Store). Our walk should be finished by noon.
