Description:
Join fellow Obsidians and other WREN participants for the February Wetland Wander! Sarah Whitney of the Long Tom Watershed Council will lead visits to two sites that were restored through the Council's Urban Waters and Wildlife Program. The tour starts at the Eugene Friends Meeting House and then the group will carpool to the Willamette Christian Center. At both locations, Sarah will describe how her team restored these areas with urban stormwater management in mind. We’ll also learn why the Long Tom Watershed Council is focused on installing green stormwater infrastructure as the preferred method of stormwater management and about common and emerging urban pollutants.
