Description:

The Wild Iris Ridge Park in southwest Eugene has a new trail which provides access from Bailey Hill Road. I think it will be easiest to meet at Target and car pool over because the trailhead parking is limited. After a short walk in on an access road, the trail climbs steadily through oak woodlands. Almost all of the climbing is in this first mile. Then we'll swing around on a loop of a grassy old road and eventually meet our original path and head to the trailhead. Wild Iris Ridge is actually part of the Ridgeline system but for now, without the heavy use other parts receive.

Trip Report

An easy, foggy morning hike. Spotted wild irises and baby blue eyes blooming along the trail. And only one limb down after yesterday's high winds. The trailhead parking lot at Bertelsen & Bailey Hill roads is much improved
