Wild Iris Ridge Grand Opening

Description:

Meeting Place: Bailey View Drive on street parking where it dead ends into the park. The meeting place is not easy to find so get google map. Help officially welcome Eugene’s newest addition to the Ridgeline Trail system. A recently completed 1.3 mile shared use trail opens up the new 250 acre Wild Iris Ridge Park in Southwest Eugene. Eugene Mayor Lucy Vinis will officially open the trail at 11:00 am. Refreshments . Guests are invited to explore the park on their own or take a guided tour. We will probably explore on our own with a walk down and back up on the new trail. and more. No trip fee.

Trip Report

It was a perfect fall morning for neighbors, hikers, and Parks and Open Space staff to visit and munch on muffins and other treats, Eleven Obsidian plus several not signed up added their applause for the official welcome of Eugene's newest addition to the Ridgeline Trail System. The recently completed 1.3 trail opens up the 250 acre Wild Iris Ridge Park. Mayor Lucy Vinis cut the the ribbon and soon we were hiking down the trail.
