Trip Report

This was the best of the 3 hikes I did on this Extended Trip. It's a loop trail. The 1st part of the trail follows the Loowit Falls trail..... open and windy. But then one turns to the south and goes up and over a pass and down the steep other side onto the Plains of Abraham - flat and fairly barren. But then one turns again again and hikes through several ridges and thrugh gullies with a great assortment of wildflowers and ends up on a ridge and have to descend two sets of steep steps. This hike is described in Sullivan's NW Oregon hikes book. I highly recommend it!
