SUMMARY:Yachats to Waldport
DESCRIPTION:We should arrive at Smelt Sands State Park around 10:00 to organize the shuttle to Patterson State Park — starting  the beach walk at 10:30\, lunch at Tillicum State Park at 11:45.  Target opens at 8:00 (bathrooms). There are bathrooms at Smelt Sands and Tilllicum. Low tide (-.60 feet)  is at 11:42 am. There are more than a few several stream crossings. I recommend tennis shoes/wool socks that you don’t mind getting wet.  Rubber boots/blisters have been a problem on other trips.\nUPDATE: One person is driving her own car.  That means we will only two cars to take the rest of us (7 people)

SUMMARY:Mt Shasta
DESCRIPTION:Mt. Shasta is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Cascade Range\, with sweeping views and amazing landscape. This is a two-day climb to 14\,179 feet\, with one night of snow camping. We will ascend Avalanche Gulch\, the main climbing route\, spending the night at Helen Lake (frozen somewhere under all the snow).
