DESCRIPTION:The parking lot will be crowded. Look for us by my car\, a row or two down from the fee box.\nSunset is 8:58pm. I plan to take trail 17 and 4 to catch the main trail to the summit. Our goal\nis to view the rays of the sunset shining through the Mt. Pisgah Sighting Pedestal. We will\ntake the main trail (#1) back to the parking lot. SUMMARY:Horse Rock
DESCRIPTION:Horse Rock Trail upper end with extension of 1 mile on service road to second transmission tower to overlook Coburg and valley from top of Coburg Hills. Scouted last week. some Poison Oak in area\, and lots of varieties of wild flowers and wild strawberries.  Listed hike as moderate due to some step areas with loose gravel \,poles advised. Lunch stop at top and return on same trail.  Meet  behind McDonalds on 58 th  to car pool. This is the upper end of Bill Sullivans Shotgun Creek & Horse Rock as listed in his book. This will be a leisure hike with stops to enjoy the flowers and pick and eat some wild strawberries

SUMMARY:Mt Jefferson
DESCRIPTION:Planning for the Whitewater Glacier route with the West Rib as a back up if better for the team or conditions warrant.  Need experience on overnight Cascade mountain climbs and crevasse rescue training.\nHiking in on the 21st\, planning for summit on 22nd\, and hikeout and/or buffer day on the 23rd. Carpool details from Eugene TBD.  We’ll be getting together the weeks leading up to the climb to review crevasse rescue training.  Danni is Assistant Leader.
