DESCRIPTION:Human feet were designed and intended to function and serve us well without “support” or otherwise needing to be covered or bound up in footwear… but we “evolved” to shoe-wearing creatures. Barefoot walking is candid way to feel the earth under your feet. Join me at Florence’s North Jetty on annual barefoot hike.\nNote: there are many health benefits and some risks associated with going barefoot. Please use common sense. Carry sandals or (and) thick socks and use in case you are unable to handle sand under your feet.\nAfter the hike\, some of us will stop in Florence’s old town for stroll and lunch. Please join us.

SUMMARY:Wild Iris Ridge
DESCRIPTION:Iris Ridge is part of the Eugene Ridgeline trail.  It was part of an old farm.  The trails use the preexisting ranch roads. They are gravel and well graded.  Early in the spring the roads are lined with iris’s.  We will see some wildflowers.  This trails  gives a good view of the coast range and Fernridge Reservoir.  Starting early with the intent of missing the heat.  We should be done by 11:30. The pace will be relaxed with chances to take in the views.
