DESCRIPTION:UO geographer\, Jim Meacham\, has spent the last two decades capturing data from the greater Yellowstone area. With that data he has created a series of maps and data-rich graphics. Jim has collaborated with wildlife biologists\, geologists\, historians and many other experts and researchers to publish a pair of atlases about the region. He will discuss his work and share a selection of maps and stories from these projects.

SUMMARY:Women's Twin Lakes Canoe/Kayak
DESCRIPTION:Over 3 days we willl be exploring several lakes off of the Cascade Lakes Highway: North & South Twin Lakes\, Hosmer Lake\,  Sparks Lake\, and perhaps the Deschutes River. The Twin Lakes Resort located on South Twin Lake will be our headquarters. We have reserved cabins 2 & 3; view them at https://twinlakesresort.net/accommodations/cabins \nThe trip fee covers the cost of the lodging and the Obsidian trip fee.  Dinners will be potluck style. Online signup for members will begin on June 23. (Non members can sign up starting June 26).  The payment of $90 (members) must be mailed within five days of sign-up to: Emily Rice\, 1615 E. 43rd Ave.\, Eugene OR 97405. Cancellations on or before August 15 will forfeit $15. Cancellations after August 15 will receive a $70 refund only if the space is filled by another person.  A pre-trip meeting will be held the week before the trip to discuss carpooling\, schedule\, food\, etc.\n Meetup/Departure Location: determined at the pre- trip meeting
