SUMMARY:Blanton Ridge to Spencer Butte
DESCRIPTION:WINTER WEATHER WARNING:  Freezing weather and some snow expected the night before this trip.     This trip may be altered or cancelled.  We will avoid the steps if they are icy. \nThis hike to the top of Spencer Butte takes the less traveled route from Blanton Road.  We’ll cross Blanton Ridge before continuing on from the 52nd and Willamette trailhead.   This option provides a good in town workout.. If the weather doesn’t co-operate we can forgo the exposed rocky steps near the top.\n To get to the trailhead from 29th & Willamette continue south on Willamette.  At Willamette/Donald St Intersection bear right on Willamette.  Immediately bear right again on to Crest Drive.  Follow signs staying on Crest for approximately 1.2 miles to the Junction with Blanton Road.  Turn left on Blanton.  The trial head is on your left in about ½ mile.\nAnother way to get to the Blanton trailhead is to go south on Chambers until it ends at Crest Drive. Turn left on to Crest.  In about ½ mile turn right on Blanton Road.

SUMMARY:The Bus Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Bus Rally – Sunday\, March 15\, 2020\, 2-4 pm\nEach year the Bus Committee holds a Rally at the Obsidian Lodge to announce our planned bus trips.  This is always a fun time as we reconnect with old friends and enjoy meeting new people.  The Rally is open to all Obsidian members\, family and friends as well as nonmember guests.   Leaders will present details about the trips they have planned and this will be the first opportunity to sign up for trips that are of interest to you. The cost of each trip is figured at a rate to cover expenses.  There will be refreshments and door prizes (including two gift certificates each for $25 off on the cost of a bus trip).
