SUMMARY:Yosemite Backpack
DESCRIPTION:I’ve obtained a wilderness permit for Yosemite National Park plus a permit to hike up Half Dome for six people.  The per person cost of the reservation fees is $17.50.  I’ll set a date later for all of us to get together to decide the final details and pay the fees.\nHere is the itinerary: \nWednesday\, August 19– Drive to Lee Vining\nThursday\, August 20– Hike from Tuolumne Meadows Campground to Vogelsang HSC.  7.5 miles\nFriday\, August 21– Hike from Vogelsang to Merceed HSC.  8.5 miles\nSaturday\, August 22– Hike from Merced to Little Yosemite Vallley. 8.5 miles\nSunday\, August 23– Hike from Little Yosemite Valley to Sunrise Creek campsite plus hike up Half Dome. 7 miles\nMonday\, August 24– Hike from Sunrise Creek to Sunrise HSC via Clouds Rest.  10.5 miles\nTuesday\, August 25– Hike from Sunrise to Tuolumne Meadows Campground. 9 miles\nTotal trail Mileage– 51

SUMMARY:Black Crater
DESCRIPTION:Black Crater (7257 ft.) is a steep-sided shield volcano. This is exposed hike through 2017 Milli Fire burn out area. Steady climb all way up and spectacular views. No snow expected. Summit temperature are expected in mid 60°F with 15 MPH SW wind so wave wind jacket ready for the top. Bonus: no mosquitoes are expected 🙂\n➽ Participants will manage their own transportation. Obsidian protocols for social distancing will be observed on the hike. Refer to main website page for information. Please indicate your transportation preferences.  If you want to drive by yourself\, please indicate “Have” and 0 for passengers.  If you’re willing to take another person or more\, please indicate the number of people (not counting yourself) you could take.

DESCRIPTION:MEET at the North Trailhead. (Turn left — not right to the main gate/pavilion)   Required to have a face covering to meet people on the trail! . Please read the COVID guidelines on our webpage. We will take Trail 3 to Trail 4\, then DOWN to Trail 2 and then UP 800 ft elevation on the east side. It will take two hours and 15 minutes at a moderate space to get to the top.
