SUMMARY:Yosemite Backpack
DESCRIPTION:I’ve obtained a wilderness permit for Yosemite National Park plus a permit to hike up Half Dome for six people.  The per person cost of the reservation fees is $17.50.  I’ll set a date later for all of us to get together to decide the final details and pay the fees.\nHere is the itinerary: \nWednesday\, August 19– Drive to Lee Vining\nThursday\, August 20– Hike from Tuolumne Meadows Campground to Vogelsang HSC.  7.5 miles\nFriday\, August 21– Hike from Vogelsang to Merceed HSC.  8.5 miles\nSaturday\, August 22– Hike from Merced to Little Yosemite Vallley. 8.5 miles\nSunday\, August 23– Hike from Little Yosemite Valley to Sunrise Creek campsite plus hike up Half Dome. 7 miles\nMonday\, August 24– Hike from Sunrise Creek to Sunrise HSC via Clouds Rest.  10.5 miles\nTuesday\, August 25– Hike from Sunrise to Tuolumne Meadows Campground. 9 miles\nTotal trail Mileage– 51

SUMMARY:Blanton Ridge to Spencer Butte
DESCRIPTION:Please have a face covering for when we meet other hikes on the trail and for social distancing.  Please read the COVID guidelines on our  club’s home page. Estimate time  with a steady pace is around 4 hours.  The hardest part is the  Blanton Heights uphill at the end of the hike.\nThis hike to the top of Spencer Butte takes the less traveled route from Blanton Road.  We’ll cross Blanton Ridge before continuing on from the 52nd and Willamette trailhead.   This option provides a good in town workout.. If the weather doesn’t co-operate we can forgo the exposed rocky steps near the top.\n To get to the trailhead from 29th & Willamette continue south on Willamette.  At Willamette/Donald St Intersection bear right on Willamette.  Immediately bear right again on to Crest Drive.  Follow signs staying on Crest for approximately 1.2 miles to the Junction with Blanton Road.  Turn left on Blanton.  The trial head is on your left in about ½ mile. \nAnother way to get to the Blanton trailhead is to go south on Chambers until it ends at Crest Drive. Turn left on to Crest.  In about ½ mile turn right on Blanton Road.

SUMMARY:Corrigan Lake Backpack
DESCRIPTION:Corrigan Lake\, in the Diamond Peak Wilderness is about 2 miles in from the trailhead. Wednesday we will have an optional day hike of about 7.5 miles to Happy Lake where we will have a leisurely one hour lunch. \nThis outing is designed as a Senior-Friendly Backpack\, and/or is for people who love backpacking and enjoy a less strenuous approach. Hiking pace on hikes will be easy to moderate\, with an opportunity to enjoy the sights and backcountry. \nCall either Scott or Nikki for information. \nParticipants will manage their own transportation. Please indicate your transportation preferences. If you want to drive by yourself\, please indicate “Have” and 0 for passengers. If you’re willing to take another person or more\, please indicate the number of people (not counting yourself) you will take.\nWe will meet at LCC at 9:00am. We will meet up again in Oakridge at the Green Waters park. \nObsidian protocols for social distancing will be observed on the hike. Refer to main website page for information.
