SUMMARY:Erma Bell Lakes
DESCRIPTION:We’ll do a counterclockwise loop starting at the Skookum Creek campground\, eventually visiting Lower\, Middle\, and Upper Erma Bell Lakes (with a waterfalls between the first two)\, plus Williams Lake and Otter Lake. There are no mountain views\, but it is a beautiful forest walk. We’ll have lunch next to one of the lakes\, probably Middle Erma Bell Lake. \nNote to drivers: the last 4 miles between Aufderheide Road and Skookum campground is gravel. It is mostly smooth\, but there are some deep potholes in places which we’ll try to weave around. High clearance vehicles are not required. Scouted July 13\, 2020.

SUMMARY:Local walk with music
DESCRIPTION:Mileage is an estimate. Meet at the Hope Abbey Mausoleum in the Masonic Cemetery for the Last Sunday Open House (1:00-4:00). Come earlier if you want more time to visit the mausolem or cemetery before our shady walk (I hope) to the U of O Campus returning around 5:30 or so. Optional: There is a brass quintet concert on the grass at 6:00. I’ll send you the Eugene Masonic Cemetery Association enewsletter once you sign up. It has information about where to park\, the concert and what to bring like a chair or blanket —that could be left in your car while we hike. There are no bathrooms at the cemetery.
