SUMMARY:Hager Mountain
DESCRIPTION:This trail is a hidden gem – not many people around; thinned out forest for 2/3 of the trail\, beautiful views on the rest. The peak is 9 miles south of Silver Lake. There is a staffed look-out building at the top. This will be a slow-paced hike\, jack-rabbits should fine another trail. We’ll pass the Cowboy Dinner Tree Restaurant in case meat-eaters want to stop for dinner on the drive out. Time permitting\, we could possibly stop at the Fort Rock Homestead Village Museum on the way back.
