DESCRIPTION:We have booked 3 sites at Still Ck campground.\nPlanned Hikes are:\n         Hood Meadows Loop: Newton Ck\, Umbrella Falls\, Sahalie Falls    9.7 miles 1\,400 ft  (Wildflowers and waterfalls)\n         Timberline trail: Cloud Cap to Gnarl Ridge  10 miles 2\,500 ft  (Views)\n         Tamanawas Falls  3.8 miles  500 ft\n* There could be creek crossings that require caution.  Hikes will be at a moderate pace with rest stops.\nCost will be $102 divided by number of participants\, likely around $12.    Plus carpool fees to Hood and to trailheads.    Meetup/Departure Location: Zig Zag Ranger Station

SUMMARY:Blanton Ridge to Spencer Butte
DESCRIPTION:This hike to the top of Spencer Butte takes the less traveled route from Blanton Road.  We’ll cross Blanton Ridge before continuing on from the 52nd and Willamette trailhead.   This option provides a good in town workout.. If the weather doesn’t co-operate we can forgo the exposed rocky steps near the top. \n To get to the trailhead from 29th & Willamette continue south on Willamette.  At Willamette/Donald St Intersection bear right on Willamette.  Immediately bear right again on to Crest Drive.  Follow signs staying on Crest for approximately 1.2 miles to the Junction with Blanton Road.  Turn left on Blanton.  The trial head is on your left in 0.5 miles. Do not turn left on Southpointe Dr. \nAnother way to get to the Blanton trailhead is to go south on Chambers until it ends at Crest Drive. Turn left on to Crest.  In about ½ mile turn right on Blanton Road.
