SUMMARY:Get Acquainted/Ribbon Trail
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the Obsidian Lodge to start the hike on the Ribbon Trail to Hendricks Park and back. This is an opportunity to find out about the Obsidians\, get acquainted with members\, and visit our lodge. This hike through the woods has a few short bursts of steep up and down hill. We will be done around noon.  Members are welcome to sign up to help answer questions. \nDrive past the Laurelwood Golf Course up 27th St then at the top of the hill turn right onto Spring Blvd\, a one lane road. When Spring Blvd ends at a T intersection\, turn left and  immediately look for the Obsidians sign and driveway on your right. Enter the driveway and follow the gravel road to the parking areas and Lodge. SUMMARY:Ray Benson Snowpark
DESCRIPTION:Finally a chance to go snowshoeing!   We’ll park at the Ray Benson Snow Park and trek to the North Blowout shelter.  Our total distance depends on our route but shouldn’t exceed 7 miles.  This last weeks snowfall should cover up the ice and give us some good powder.  If the conditions are too windy or cold at Ray Benson we may try the Maxwell Snow Park instead.  Also note that this trip could be cancelled due to harsh conditions.  A stop at Takoda’s restaurant after the trip is a possibility.

SUMMARY:Tie Trail Brushing & Raking
DESCRIPTION:We will continue our work to rake storm debris from the Tie Trail. Our work will also include cutting back woody vegetation from the trail sides.  If we have time we will also work up to the summit.  I will bring an assortment of tools from the City.  That said if you have a favorite rake or saw you’re more than welcome to bring it. \nMeet at the main Spencer Butte Trailhead parking lot\, the paved lot on Willamette.
