Lone Wolf Shelter and Patterson Mountain provide timber, wildflowers and a view from the 4460 foot top of the mountain. It's a 40 mile drive from LCC, with the last 8 miles climbing to the ridgetop. The road is gravel and driveable with a couple of slow potholes, 80 round trip miles, $8.80 pay to the drivers.This is medium difficulty, 4.6 miles round trip, 600 feet elevation gain.
