SUMMARY:Rosary Lakes Hike - Stewardship
DESCRIPTION:The Love Your Lake program offered by the Cascade Volunteers and the Willamette National Forest involves people taking care of lakes in the Willamette National Forest.  This Obsidian stewardship event to Rosary Lakes will do just that.  We will clean campsites by picking up trash\, cleaning out fire ring ash\, downsizing fire rings if needed and removing fire rings to close to the lakes.  The lake shorelines will be checked for any garbage or fishing gear that has been discarded.  We begin by following the PCT north from hwy 58 for 3 miles to have lunch at Middle Rosary Lake with a view of Pulpit Rock.  After lunch I will demonstrate how fire rings are cleaned and rebuilt so we can split into groups to cover more area efficiently.  The pace will be relaxed with stops on the way back to work at each campsite.
